Description

Comm Engine is the next generation for payment processing as the interface removes the need of UTG as Focus will communicate directly to the device or directly to the Gateway in adjusting a previous transaction in any manner.  The interface is REST based and will require IP devices to communicate transactions

PAX A800/A930 with COMM Engine App installed

Configuration

Global settings found in Misc>Credit/Gift/Loyalty/Customer

• Credit Card Tab
  • Credit Type = Shift4
  • Merchant ID = <enter MID>
  • 
• Credit Card Direct Tab
  • IP Address = 127.0.0.1
  • Port = 8085
  • Interface = REST
  • Enter Authtoken from UTG Setup provided
  • Enter ZIP Code
  • Save
  • Register will connect to the Gateway to Register the Auth Token and receive the Access Token 
  • SAVE and CLOSE

Station Setting found in Locations > Stations

***Follow device setup to set device IP's statically on same network as POS

***Requires you to configure each stations EMV device

• Locations > Stations
  • Select the station in the left column to config that terminals reader
  • EMV Options
    • EMV TYPE = Shift 4 Commerce Engine
    • IP Address = <Enter IP address of device>
    • Port = 8085
    • 
  • Save
     
  • Repeat for each additional station
    • Save & Close

Test transaction with your newly configured Comm Engine device
