Introduction & Overview
Focus is a point-of-sale and business management system. When you need technical help from your support team, Focus includes a built-in integration with LogMeIn Rescue (often called +Rescue) that lets a trusted technician securely view and control your system remotely.
This short process (under 60 seconds) allows the technician to troubleshoot issues without visiting your location. The video demonstration shows the exact end-user workflow on a typical terminal screen.
What the process achieves
- Generates a temporary, secure remote support session.
- Gives the technician controlled access only while the session is active.
- Maintains a full audit trail for security.
Prerequisites
Before starting, ensure you have:
- Focus software running on the terminal (you’ll see the main black interface with the white square preview area and on-screen keypad on the right).
- A stable internet connection.
- A 6-digit session code (PIN) provided by your support technician (example used in the demo video: 123456).
- Administrator or sufficient user permissions on the terminal (most stations allow this).
Security note Only enter the PIN when instructed by a technician you recognize and trust. The session is encrypted, time-limited, and can be terminated at any time.
